Assembly Instructions for Studio RTA Drafting Tables

Founded in 1985, Studio RTA is a company that started out by producing drafting tables and other furnishings intended for use by creative professionals. Eventually, the company's product line expanded to include desks, filing cabinets and chairs. Studio RTA continues to sell drafting tables, with the Creativa model being among the company's more recent offerings. The Creativa features a simple design, and only basic hand tools are required for assembly. The assistance of another person may prove helpful when handling the table's larger components. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Turn the table top over, with the brackets on the bottom facing upward. Insert the pole through the holes in the center of each bracket. Locate the notches near the upper end of each height adjustment bar. Fit the notches onto the ends of the pole. Use Allen screws to secure the ends of each bar to the pole.

    2

Slide a large washer over the end of one of the two short knobs. Push the end of the knob through one of the metal bars attached to the underside of the table. Slide another washer over the end of the knob, then push the end of the knob through the matching hole on the nearby height adjustment bar. Twist a cap bolt onto the end of the knob. Repeat with the remaining knob on the opposite side.

    3

Stand both sets of table legs upright. Fit both small crossbars into the notches near the bottom end of the table legs. Use Allen bolts to secure the small crossbars to the legs. Flip the tabletop upright.

    4

Align the ends of the height adjustment bars with the notches at the upper end of each set of table legs. Slide the bars into the notches, lowering the tabletop into place.

    5

Attach the bolt connectors to the guiding bolts. Insert the bolt connectors into the holes on the bottom edge of the large crossbar. Fit the ends of the large crossbar into the grooves in the center of each height adjustment bar. Slide large washers over the two long knobs.

    6

Insert the ends of the long knobs into the holes on the sides of each set of table legs. Push the ends of the knobs into the ends of the large crossbar. Tighten the knobs until they are secure in the bolt connectors. Remove the guiding bolts from the bolt connectors.

    7

Fit small washers over the Phillips screws, then fit the Phillips screws into the holes on the detachable table edge. Fit a second set of washers onto the ends of the screws, then screw the detachable edge onto the edge of the table.
